SAT/ACT/PSAT Information

PSAT/NMSQT

The PSAT/NMSQT is typically taken by 10th and 11th grade students who plan on attending college after graduation, and scores are used by some scholarship programs, including the National Merit Scholarship Program, to look for eligible students.  Although not required, it is recommended that students take the PSAT/NMSQT at least once before taking the SAT.  The PSAT/NMSQT will be offered at the high school on the morning of Wednesday, October 13, 2021.  The cost of the test is $18.00; however, fee waivers are available for eligible students.  The deadline to register is Friday, September 10, 2021. 

SAT Test Schedule

 

The SAT is typically taken by 11th and 12th grade students who plan on attending college after graduation, and scores are used to determine a students’ preparation for college success.  Some colleges or universities use SAT scores as a factor in scholarship awards.  The SAT will be given on the following Saturdays throughout the school year.  Students register with The College Board on their own for the SAT (www.collegeboard.org)*The cost of the test is $55.00.  Fee reduction/fee waivers are available for eligible students.  If you need a fee waiver for any SAT Test, please see Mrs. Jolynn Young before registering for your test date.

The SAT offered in early March is part of the *SAT School Day program and will be offered at the high school the morning of Wednesday, March 3, 2022.  The SAT School Day program allows students to take the SAT test during their regular school day

SAT School Day Program
 

The SAT School Day program allows students to take the SAT during the week at their high school.  The cost of SAT testing is $55.00 this year, and fee reduction/fee waivers are available for those who qualify.  This year, we will be offering this program twice at Leechburg:

 

Thursday, October 28, 2021—Seniors Only (Registration deadline:  September 20, 2021)

March 3, 2022 —Juniors and Seniors (Registration deadline:  January 21, 2022)
