SAT Test

The SAT is typically taken by 11th and 12th grade students who plan on attending college after graduation, and scores are used to determine a students’ preparation for college success.  Some colleges or universities use SAT scores as a factor in scholarship awards.  The SAT will be given on the following Saturdays throughout the school year.  Students register with The College Board on their own for the SAT (www.collegeboard.org)*The cost of the test is $60.00.  Fee reduction/fee waivers are available for eligible students.  If you need a fee waiver for any SAT Test, please see Ms. Kristen Krivak before registering for your test date.

SAT School Day Program - Wednesday, October 8, 2025

The SAT School Day program allows students to take the SAT during the week at their high school.

The SAT is a standardized test widely used for college admissions in the United States. It assesses a student's skills in reading, writing, and math, which are critical for success in college. Taking the SAT during the school day provides a convenient and familiar testing environment for our students.

The estimated fee for the test this year is $60.

If your student is interested in taking the SAT, please have them submit their payment to their school counselor, Miss Krivak, no later than Friday, October 3, 2025.

PSAT/NMSQT - Thursday, October 16, 2025

The PSAT/NMSQT, which stands for Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test, is a standardized test that serves two main purposes. First, it gives students a chance to practice for the SAT and get a snapshot of their college readiness skills in reading, writing, and math. Second, the test is the qualifying exam for the National Merit Scholarship Program, which provides scholarships to high-achieving students. Taking the test also provides students with free access to personalized SAT practice on Khan Academy based on their individual PSAT results.

The fee for the test is estimated to be $18.

If your student is interested in taking the PSAT/NMSQT, please have them submit payment to their school counselor, Miss Krivak, no later than Friday, October 10, 2025.

The PSAT is typically taken by juniors and sophomores, and the SAT is typically taken by seniors and juniors. Each year, after we register our students, the CollegeBoard provides a discount that may be available to assist students with payment for the PSAT/SATs. If you need assistance to pay for these exams, please contact Miss Krivak.
